Brotherly Love Ben and Casey Affleck descended upon Georgetown—bringing vegan hors d'oeuvres—for the Washington premiere of Gone Baby Gone. The crowd assembled at Thursday's premiere party for the screening of Ben and Casey Affleck’s new film, Gone Baby Gone, could have felt they were partying with purpose, since the event was cosponsored by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (the nonprofit consulted on the film). Capitol File magazine joined the center and Miramax in showcasing the movie, which Ben directed; brother Casey plays a police officer investigating a kidnapping. After the screening at the AMCLoews Georgetown, where the popcorn and M&Ms were gratis, the crowd of 250 moved a block away to the City TavernClub, a private venue with all the genteel hallmarks of a classic Georgetown mansion—antiques, brocade curtains, and glittery chandeliers.
