The uber-fab fete for last night's opening of the W Hotel just might rank as of the most exciting events this year. The old Hotel Washington wore subtle pinstripes and bold lace.
"Everyone thinks of Washington power as pinstripes, but the truth is -- the real power is in a lacy negligee," said Jayne Sandman while explaining the hotel's decor to Joe Curl and Ed Henry.
Washington media stars were glammed out and grooving to a private concert by John Legend while toasting the super-chic digs with celebs like Emmy Rossum, Johnny Wright and Tatyana Ali.
